I'd like to start this topic with a very strong note. "I think... no, I'm pretty much sure that 'ebay' has successfully emerged as a CHEATER in the last 5-6 months". Why I'm saying so, please read on...
I'd bought an Apple iPad on 16-Aug-2012 (Paisapay ID - 31898867994) and few other (nominally priced items) during the 2012 Independence Day promotion period and at the end of the period when the time came for choosing a gift, I'd selected a Canon printer. The best part is I've not yet received my gift.
I've called customer support several times in the past 3-4 months and I've got following responses.
1. Most of the time the customer care executive says that he/she has forwarded the complaint to concerned department and they will get back to me. Great! I guess there is not concerned department at all because I've not received any call.
2. During one of the calls that I made in the month of November, I got a response that there was a delay from the vendor and the gift will be dispatched in first week of December. I guess he/she was referring to first week of December 2013 because I've not yet received my gift.
3. Several times, the customer care executives will place the call on hold stating that they are either checking in the system or consulting with their superior and the call remains in hold for more than 30 minutes and for some reason gets dis-connected. I'm guessing that they keep the call on hold for - restroom break, snack break, tea break, lunch break etc and once back, disconnect the call intentionally.
4. The funniest part is at last I got a call from someone on 13-Jan-2013 and the person provided me a bluedart AWB # and when I enter it in bluedart website, they say it's not a valid number. So, the person from ebay says that it's because the gift was dispatched in November and bluedart doesn't keep track of items for more than 45 days. Well, if at some point one of your customer care executive said that the gift was not dispatched till end of November and was supposed to be dispatched on first week of December, so how can you say that it was dispatched in November. Please, keep your facts straight before addressing any issues. I can't stop laughing at you folks for how dumb and stupid you look like with these kind of actions.
I guess, the only way left for me is to buy some very less expensive items from ebay power sellers and leave negative feedbacks intentionally so that ebay will listen to me.
