I was wondering why i got "Payment on process" for online payments made using HDFC bank for my last 3 PaisaPay transactions? Checked with the Bank and they said things were alright at their end. Called up Ebay customer care. Yesterday and they said wait for 24 hours?:| . Today they said they couldn't check it as their Server was down for maintenance ๐ฎ I've been an eBay Buyer for a couple of years and buy quite a few things off EBay every month. But off late there seems to be some level of irresponsibility that's creeping into the EBay Customer care.
Plz Don't get me wrong. I am a Big fan of what EBay has done to change online shopping and appreciate their efforts in making online shopping better and safer. But off late there has been quite a few occasions when EBay Customer care has become
1: Call
2: Explain
3: Problem Escalated
4: Wait
5: No Further response/Resolution from EBay... So Start at Step 1 again.
For instance I had an issue with the Edge points calculated incorrectly. Been calling up Customer care atleast thrice over the last 2 weeks but the Only Answer i get is "Problem Escalated" n then no response for days. The issue remains Unresolved still ๐
Take this HDFC "Payment on process" issue for instance. EBay could just issue an announcement as to what the problem is and exactly how long it would take to sort the issue and the buyers don have to worry. Instead they say "Wait 24 to 48 hours" call after 48 hours and customer care would again say "Wait 24 to 48 hours". U see its Christmas time and "Time Frames" are Extremely Important now...
All I can say to EBay is... Like the community principles states... "People are GOOD in general"... All you have to do to make your Buyers happy is Just Keep them PROPERLY Informed and stick to time frames you promise. Good or Bad getting a reliable response is better than waiting indefinitely.
