Hello leenathambi123,

It is because of your shop. For the first month it is free. After that each month you have to pay Rs.200 subscription fees(Still 170.81 is clueless amount). If you not planning to sell anything in the future, please close down the shop, that can reduce the fees. If you don't know how to close down the shop, please write to eBay help or Live chat with them.

Kind regards,
CoolBrasCo.

hi i purchesed one http://cgi.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280126527208&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ::1 item from the ebay in just 1999.00 rupees. the seller told me that it is a 4 gb player but actually it was 470 mb only. he write there is no memory available in the market which is more than 2gb this is our technology to show it 4gb and store content on it.

second thing they pack it on sony cover when i contact with sony they told we are not manufactuoring any mp3/4 player like this . this is a fake player.

i dont belive any one can sell the fake product in ebay.

this was my first product from ebay . but i will never think to buy any product in future from ebay. i had been cheated because of cheap and fake products.

when i connect the player to the computer everything was ok. i uploaded some songs and deleted that even after that the songs was in the list with some encrapted name. and taking memory. i tryied many times finally i format the player with the format tool provided with me product, and i went to home it was a small raining days so think the reason of not working of my player is may be becoze of some humidity. but when i extract the firmware from the player and start reading about that . finally i found that my player is fake and i had been cheated by ebay.

wow... greate....

Hello shukla_fk,

I regret the unpleasant experience you had. I wish to reiterate the fact that eBay strives to takes all the necessary steps possible to protect its buyers from unpleasant experiences.

I would like to give you and other members especially buyers a context to the type of memory used in an MP3 play or any device

Digital electronic products, such as digital camera, MP3 player, cellular phone, etc., are required with larger capacity of storage media to satisfy the demand of digital images and music with higher qualities by the users. Hence most of the MP3 players use the non-volatile memory systems such as flash memory storage systems due to the compact physical size of such memory systems, and the ability for non-volatile memory to be repetitively reprogrammed

With out being too technical, in a non-volatile flash memory (used in MP3 players) use technology to compress the files that is stored in the memory so as to expand the available memory, hence once you format the your MP3 player you there is a potential loss of memory capacity of your MP3 player. This holds true for all MP3 players irrespective of the brand / make.

All formatting of the MP3 players should be done under technical supervision to avoid loss of memory capacity.

In this context, if a MP3 player that was purchased had different capacity (with out any formatting) from that is described then report your problem to the Dispute Consol
(help on Dispute Consol) for eBay to take appropriate against the seller under the Seller Non Performance Policy

In the event of a dispute on a transaction on eBay, eBay has a robust buyer protection mechanism. I suggest you go through this link on Protection for Buyers

eBay India has a Security & Resolution Centre that helps both buyers & sellers to prevent / resolve any disputes thus making it a safe and secure market place Regards,

I have a trouble pls help me....

Hello Vidmay,

Thank you for the prompt response and the explanation about memory and data compression techniques.

I request further clarification for the following statement:

"In this context, if a MP3 player that was purchased had different capacity (with out any formatting) from that is described then I urge buyers to file a dispute against the seller"

So are you saying it is allright for a seller to mentions "8 GB compressed memory" and give only 1 GB physical memory?

"use technology to compress the files that is stored in the memory so as to expand the available memory"

Let me inform you that memory compression techniques only compresses data files and not music files since MP3 is an already compressed format and cannot be compressed any further by any other data compression techniques such as those used by these MP3 players. The main purpose of an MP3 / MP4 players is to play music files and such compression techniques are useless for MP3 files.

Without being too cynical, your post seems to be an apology or justification for the sale of MP3/MP4 players which are sold with compressed memory.

What you seem to be saying is that though we care a lot about our buyers we find nothing wrong in seller mentioning a fake capacity to hawk their substandard products to unsuspecting buyers.

"This holds true for all MP3 players irrespective of the brand / make."

Further if this was market practice why do none of the brands of MP3/MP4 players such as Apple, SanDisk, iRiver, iAudio, Sony, Samsung, Transcend etc. do not offer such compressed memory products?

In the given scenario even though shukla_fk obviously feels that been defrauded cannot file a dispute against the seller claming SNAD as he had formatted the product to discover the genuine memory.

" i format the player with the format tool provided with me product'

Devesh
