How to change the phone number for an order in transit/ already shipped.

I just placed an order of a phone batter. I am no more able to use the phone number that i've used for ordering the item. How can i ask the ebay team to update my phone number for the dealer/delievery boy, sothat they can contact me when they are able to deliever? Or I might miss the delievery, and I seriously need this order.

You answer the question yourself, how will anybody be able to change your phone number when the order is in transit, just think logically is it possible ?.

i once mistyped an address, and later on got it changed by tech support of the site. If address can be changed, why not phone number, just change the number in the system, new notifications will come in the new number. And inform the delievering company about the number change of a particular order number, how hard is that? ofcourse it is possible 😐
