Have you ever filed a claim under Purchase Protection Program? It's a farce

I purchased one 64GB PEN-DRIVE from a seller and it was a fake one and a bad corrupted driver. In my feedback to the seller I wrote "64GB PenDrive, probably not original, has been inserted into a 8GB PenDrive pack". It's a fake one and a bad corrupted driver. It can not be formatted, even if youwrite any data to it, it corrupts all the data.

Interestingly, the seller has been unregistered from Ebay and the same case happened to all the buyers from this seller. So I filed a complaint first and then filed a claim under Purchase Protection Program as "This item doesn't match the seller's description". Claim Number is 1695475.

After one and half month, I have got one mail yesterday from Ebay global site (ebay.com, not from ebay.in). Now they are asking for transaction ID for the PaisaPay payment and an Appraisal from a third party.

This listing (220368861258) has been removed or is no longer available in Ebay site. So how/where can I get the transaction ID from? I have paid through PaisaPay, So Ebay should have all the information.

Regarding Appraisal, is it my fault that I purchase products from Ebay? Instead Ebay should check the seller authenticity before listing. I prchased this PEN-DRIVE and it was corrupted. Corrupted means it's corrupted and useless. This is not repairable and totally useless (current value is ZERO). Also please check the feedback to this seller by other buyers and you can see that they all mentioned that the same product is not working and fully corrupted. And it's well known to all and common fact about PEN-DRIVES that if it is corrupted, it can not be repaired and totally useless. So why do Ebay need any Appraisal from third party? Again, it's painful to go to the market/expert and spend money for Appraisal.

All the policies should be customer friendly, not for harassing them or not for insisting them to give up in between.

If you think the system is not user friendly now, you have no idea of the ordeal that awaits you.

Read my story here: http://forums.ebay.in/thread.jspa?threadID=500003011&tstart=0&mod=1242993733765

I was cheated on eBay on 2nd Jan and today i.e. 5 months later inspite of having dedicated quite a bit of time and energy to win my claim, I'm yet to receive any compensation from eBay.

Like I've said in my thread, eBay's buyer protection is non-existent and is deliberately made non user friendly to dissuade most buyers into just admitting their losses and moving on.
