Govt of Ebay.com - Pathetic customer service

So much for Ebay buyer protection!

 

My first purchase on ebay was a disaster - a broken lens from Japan. The seller kept on assuring me that he would refund the money and buying time. And then 45 days passed and now he has practically asked me to get lost and stopped responding. I can understand that he wanted to make a fast buck and did.

 

What is surprising is ebay!!!

 

  • There has been no response to my emails.
  • The call center first asked me to get in touch with paypal and then ebay america
  • The chat center is of no help
  • The contact details of the site is nearly impossible to navigate - makes you go in circles
  • There is no way you can get in touch with the Trust and Safety team

What can I do to get my refund back?

If you paid by credit card by any chance file for a chargeback with bank.

if so you have to open a case with paypal.

 

i dont knw why poeple listens to seller.

time period for any claims are 45 days, no wonder you seller just been soft with you until these 45 days.

 

opening a case with paypal is very simple. you should know how it works , before blasting your anger on ebay.

 

i can assure you, with many online sites , ebay has the best system.

 

and paypay!! i am sorry but they are the best on internet.

 

only mistake you done is, you didn't raise a complaint going to paypal, but just listened to you seller and now its you fate.
