Fraud users buying entire quantity of hot selling item, thus closing it mid

There have been many posts on the topic, so I will go through it breifly.

There are a few users who are spoiling sales of seller:

Whenever they see a hot selling product, they simply purchase the entire quantity (without intention of paying for even one quanity), thereby closing the auction.

Seller support says there is nothing which can be done.

Earlier, sellers could decide on the maximum quantity a user could purchase. We humbly reqest that this condition be brought back again. When this policy was changed, we protested via a posting in this cafe but no action was taken.

If this is not feasible, than as Sanjay Verma has said in an earlier posting that buyer limits would be enforced. Please have a limit for that any user cannot purchase more than 5 qty. of any product. We beliver no user actually purchases more than 2-3 quantity of a product. We say this after being on the site for more than 2 years and have transacted 15,000 orders.

Please act urgently on this matter as this is causing a lot of frustration to all sellers.

I fully agree ith cellphonewala. if Seller is having gurantee of fulfillment no buyer will put multiple quantity listing. Baazee is behaving like they put huge effort in fulfillment, but all the sellers will agree baazee have no intrest in any fulfillment they only need there fees. that is why they are creating atmophere where they will charge for listing only and all the sellers will be mercy of GOD only. Hopeless attitude of baazee. They show that they are very much professional but all there professionalism is for seller only. Baazee is behaving in a way that shows that all the sellers need baazee not baazee need any seller they need only buyers.

Now any user (fraud / frilivous / envious, etc.) has the freedom to buy the entire quantity of a listing causing the seller untold losses.

1) SNC and service charges - (for e.g. just 10 nos of a digital camera at Rs.10000/- each is Rs.1,00,000/-) Resulting in Service charge of Rs.1000/-. If we list 100 cameras at Rs.10,000/-, than anyone can just place order for all 100, resulting in total order of Rs.10,00,000/- and a service charge of Rs.10,000/-.

2) Can buy the remaining quantity of a hot selling item and close it before its run of 7 / 10 days. Once a item is hot, it sells much more quantity. This will also cost the seller a loss of EL fees which are almost Rs.400/- for a full featured listing.

We request baazee.com to revert to the old system and the quantity restriction be also applicable to Privilege club members also. No buyer is going to buy 10 nos. of digital cameras.

Another solution to this is compulsory verification of buyers who place orders of the value over Rs.1,000/-. Not one phone call but 3 phone calls at different times of the day.

Even my auction listing were closed twice by the frauds.
He bid for the product on the last moment of closing the bid and all my other previous bids of other buyers were gone. And this buyer has submitted his address and phone number which are fake.
Why doesn't Baazee check the address and phone no of the person who are registering themselves on Baazee.
We not only lose the sale, but we also lose the EL that we have paid to you. Since I am a small dealer, I cannot afford to pay for EL without getting any sale. Now I have stopped this EL and my sale has gone down by more then 75%. Will Baazee suggest to me what I should do in such a situation.

I too agree with CELEPHONEWALA, you need to implement this CHANGE immediately...Its so easy for FRAUD BUYER'S or fellow competititors to placed FRAUD ORDERS and close the listings of other sellers...We dont only loose SPECIAL LISTING fees but also waste so much time in FILING SNC WARNING, as it is 70% OF THE ORDERS we receive from USERS are FRAUD in way ( FULFILLMENT RATE).....

If Baazee does not want to place limitation on quantity a buyer can purchase, we suggest they remove the max quantity a seller can put up for sale. Infact there should be a option to put no quantity, so that the "buy it now" listing remains open the 7/10 days the seller has put it up regardless the no. of orders he/she receives.

Dear Sellers,

We share the concerns that you have expressed in this thread and have re-introduced seller defined maximum quantity for your listings. You can now start specifying maximum / minimum quantities for your listings via the sell form or the bulk tool.

The default value for Minimum Quantity is 1 and there is no restriction on Maximum Quantity. If you choose not to specify any Min / Max quantities you could retain the default values in these fields during the listing process. Please remember, as the case earlier, the Max quantity will need to be a multiple of the Min quantity.

Additional information for Bulk tool users:
To specify a Min Qty enter min quantity value in the "Items Per Lot" field in the CSV sheet (default value is 1)
To specify a Max Qty enter max quantity value in the "MaxQtyPerBid" field in the CSV sheet (default value is 0, implying no restriction)
