Few queries.
1. Do we need Import / Export license,
a: if we just sell 1 or 2 items a month?
b: if we sell auction (old/used) items.
2. We sell an item to Buyer b by paying $20. We ship the item through India Post Speed service. For few days, there is tracking available.
In below 5 cases if buyer opens Item not received case, how Seller is protected? Please answer case wise.
Case Z: after few days, there is no update on tracking of the parcel on the website, but sure that its with customs (information got from postal authorities).
Case X: We got information from postal authorities that parcel is with customs for evaluation and would take time (sometimes 20 to 30 days).
Case Y: customs in b's country charged $50 and b is not ready to pay customs. So, parcel is held with customs for months.
Case W: customs in b's country charged $10 and b is not ready to pay customs. So, parcel is being returned to us. A heavy shipping cost.
Case V: Parcel received by b but he claims its damaged (genuine).
