I have personally done it 3 times and was satisfied to see that within a few hours 1 or more such negative comments were added and within 2 days he was thrown out of eBay. When a Nigerian enters here, he is not here to loot a single seller. He does it with 2-3 or more at a time. All we have to do is unite and spread the word immediately. So just rush to give him a feedback and friends.....first one there is the king...and last one is a .......;-) so let's race...:^O
One more thing. Just don't worry. According to eBay's new policy, being a non-payer he cannot leave a feedback for you. Yours always
Jyoti

Its really frustrating to see another possible fraud by the abhorrent Nigerians. The only good thing is that your billing cycle is ending on 25th, so you are likely to get back the money for the time being. However, the buyer yamandbeans has already been suspended. Surprisingly he has done some business with very high rated sellers also. Hope you will get the payment.
I would also strongly recommend yout to try your level best to stop the delivery as suggested by Mr. Deep Agarwal (shree_krishna_gems).
These vile Nigerians are making a mess of ebay. Its a win win situation for them while everyone else is loosing. Even ebay will loose both sellers and buyers if the menace continues.

That is why I have said that whoever comes to know of a Nigerian, the first thing he ought to do is give him harshest of negative feedback. It's very surprizing that high rated sellers fell prey to these frauds! This is because of lack of communication amongst us. The easiest way to communicate among ourselves is to give them a harsh feedback. Immediately whoever among us checks his ID, will come to know of his reality. The purpose of your harsh comments is not just to protect others from frauds but eventually you also stand to gain if such a fraud is exposed sooner. After all if EBAY prospers, you prosper, we prosper. Yours always

You need not worry in that case. Just take your thing back and enjoy. You are not a party to dispute as soon as you are cleared. It is then a 2 party dispute between the fraud Nigerian(if caught at all!), and the one who owns the credit card. Yours always

As bay_jyoti has rightly said, you can never be in any legal dispute regarding the credit card misuse by the Nigerians.
Normally, for such incident, the Nigerian will never get caught and after some hassles both you and the credit card holder will get back most of their money (hope for the best !!). The Insurance company affiliated to the card will have to bear the loss, if everything goes on ideally.
Such a fraud at the very beginning definitely acts as a dissuader. But don’t let them win on you. Cling on to your hopes and dreams even with this harsh reality. There are innumerable genuine buyers and sellers on ebay & net. Just be careful to avoid the frauds. I think if you just keep a look on boards like this then it will definitely help you. Hope your perseverance and hard work will surely usher in an overwhelmingly good business for you, on ebay, in 2006.
Merry Christmas Best Regards

You are right. I was also a victim to this. He bought a samsung handset from me. He said that he was from bangalore and was now living in london and wanted to ship it to his friend in Nigeria. He offered Rs. 6000/- for the shipping of the mobile phone which was only costing him Rs. 3500/- and he said he will pay $ 300 which was around Rs. 13,500/-. I want ebay to take action against thisd person so that we can build our trust and confidence in ebay. Otherwise any one can fool you and you will be at loss. People will lose confidence and not use ebay to sell or buy any more.
Here is the address of the fraud and the email.
