Ebay India Christmas gift code not working

Hi,

I was trying to purchase a "Samsung Galaxy Y Phone" priced for Rs.6890/- today (27 Dec 2011 - 11.45 PM approx).
Also note that this item is not shown under "deals of the week" or any other promotion of Ebay India & No other promotion code was entered during purchase.

As per Ebay India's offer (website: http://deals.ebay.in/Christmas/index.html), I was eligible to apply a gift code (XMASGIFT01) since this is my first purchase after Dec 15 2011 through PAISAPAY.

But the website returned an error saying "Sorry, the gift voucher / promotion code XMASGIFT01 cannot be used for the item(s) you are purchasing. Please try another voucher / promotion code or continue with your payment." Since the item listing was about to end on 28th Dec approx at 8 AM, I booked the item through paisa pay (PaisaPay ID 30461033860) and emailing you immediately after the purchase to report the bug in your website.

I have taken a snapshot of the error message and can mail u if required. Similar instance occured when I purchased a Rs.11300/- item during Dussera (Oct 2011), I was unable to avail the promo code due to the bug in your system and my gift was denied.

I would be losing faith in Ebay India if the same thing is repeated again for the present purchase. I WANT MY GIFT ITEM. PLS DON'T GIVE ME ANY BLUNT REPLIES LIKE "WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING NOW" ETC. IT IS A BUG IN YOUR WEBSITE.... SO U NEED TO CORRECT IT BY GIVING ME THE GIFT I DESERVE. IF YOU CANNOT APPROVE MY XMAS GIFT, PLS CANCEL THE ORDER AND REFUND BACK MY MONEY.

Hi There ,

I have been waiting for my Free gift quite long time ( Samsung Galaxy Y ) , I tried calling Ebay Customer Support 2 week's ago and enquired about the status of the free gift , they informed me that I will receive an email from Ebay regarding that .

but how ever there was no email or response.

Sir, I'd purchased items under Christmas gift scheme & applied for gift on 12 Jan 2012. I'd not received any gift so far. When I should expect to get it?

On ebay site there's no prope rway to report it. Live chat no one responses except one day few days ago then he told I was sent gift on Feb, 1 2012. He gave me tracking no of bluedart also but blue dart told me that no such item was sent.

It seems some one ebay employee is steeling gifts.

I'd lost hope of receiving it. I'll never rely on ebay gifts policies, a way of cheating but cheating doesn't pay in long run, I'll go on another sites for online purchases. Regards, Niranjan

I'd not received christmas gift(nokia mobile set)so far. I wasted lot time in live chat but no satisfactory reply. Now they say wait for moment then chat session ends.

I think it was ebay trick to increase there sales. They planned not to give any gift because you can see there's no proper link on ebay to inquire/complain about gifts.

I'll never trust on ebay gifts. I'll advise others also not to trust on ebay gift because it's cheating.

I'll not waste any more time on inquiring about gift, it's total waste of time.
