Well, it is indeed a long time. eBay should at least inform you by email as why it is taking so long.

As a Seller I always believe keeping my Buyer informed about his order and shipping status periodically. I think you should send a reminder mail to eBay about it.

Sometimes it happens that they might forget about your gift. May be when you remind them about it then they may ship you quickly.
