I too agree that ebay is sheltering most of the sellers who are cheating the public by selling substandard and dead products and the buyers are helpless.

The eBay guarantee programme doesn't even try to help.

I bought a faceplate for sony ericsson k550i from "recruitinginpeace1". The item sold was of cheap quality and didn't even fit in my phone. Some keys were not functioning.

I claimed for a refund on 16.09.2010 and never heared anything from them. I tried to contact them for an update on my claim but my emails were unanswered. I tried the live chat and the phone number but was repeatedly told to wait as it was under progress.

After a month they simply told that my claim was dismissed, why? They can't say.

Then What for is the guarantee programme? The seller sold a me cheap, duplicate product at a much higher price and my claim was simply unheard.
