Complain about item shipping

I have ordered an item and also paid shipping charges for that. It is currently with "Sri maruti courier service". The courier service is asking me to come to their place and collect the item. If I had to go miles to take it, then what is the purpose of mentioning shipping address and paying shipping charges and what is the purpose of buy an item from a shopping website like ebay?

If you do not wish to collect the parcel just don't do it. Ask the Seller for a refund.

i paid on 12th april, but seller says by 17th only they will dispatch, what service is ebay is doing for their costumers
do the ebay team wants their costumers move to another sources ?
