Community Court System is not transparent to buyer

Hi,

recently I leave negative feedback for sending low quality item. Eventually seller raised appeal in the community court. They asked my comments on the case but there is no way for me/buyer to see seller’s feedback on my comments. I don't know what happened after that but I received one email saying that your negative rating has been removed.
Is there any criterion for becoming a jury member? Since most of the buyers dot not have time to see other cases, I don't think there is a good proportion of buyer jury members. And if there is a majority of sellers in Jury, negative ratings will always be removed.
Honestly speaking, I am not happy with this system and I loose my faith on eBay. This has forced me think twice before buying anything for eBay any more.

Same thing happened to me. I gave a seller a negative feedback for sending me fake/poor quality stuff. After a few days the seller went to community court and got the feedback removed!
I saw that most of the sellers are a part of this jury community. So 99% of the time they help each other.
No matter what the sellers negative feedback is always removed.
I dont think you should allow sellers to remove their negative feedback like this.

Dear All,
Just for the information, community court Jury is consisting equal amount of buyers and sellers. more over, for a feedback to be removed, the seller must receive 21 votes in total out of which 51% should be in his favour.

So if you are leaving an unreasonable feedback, it will be acted upon as per jury.

Its like. Sellers are subjected to lots of abuse buy buyers.
At times buyers blackmails the seller to send items as well as issue refund. else they will leave negative feedback.

I have been through this stuff. see my feedback. i am so very badly abused by buyers.


All we can do is to appeal. If jury things the negative is not right, the negative is removed, else it stays for ever.


other then this the buyer have 10 days to revert while sellers have only 2 days.

i agree the community court is partial, but its other way round and not as per your description.

Buyers gets more time to revert, sellers dont.

If buyer can see the revert then he will for sure change his statement. or might want to describe more about his experience. this will certainly delay the judgement. hence when ever you are describing your case. clearly mention every detail.

why do you what to leave a negative feedback on the first place
why cant you wait, communicate with the seller and get your problems resolved
you think leaving a negative feedback helps in resolving problems
how do other portals in india work they dont even have a feedback system like we have on ebay
still they are in business people buy from there also like indiantimes for example
does buyers over there are naturally happy since there is no feedback system to abuse the sellers
i dont pratically understand why do we altogether have so many systems in one place
we have the following to help the buyers
1. we have tns to watch us
2. we have snp to kick us
3. we have negative feedback to abuse us
4. we have ebay guarentee to know how idiot we are
5. we have INR system with us

and some more which i dont remember now
yet buyers keep asking for more and more........

man these buyers should buy from portals like indiatimes or this newly opened timtara. then they will see the exact picture. howthey harass the buyers and all.. here these buyers are at leverage and still complaining.
1 he left negative fb and when cc found its unreasonable, they removed it, buyer still screaming. god help from such buyers. go to other portals man, we dont need such buyer.s buy genuine mobiles at unbeatable price.

Well said..why negative in the first place.

Other portals do not entertain any complaints , here we sellers do so much for the buyers.

Ebay gives buyer so such and still buyers complain.We sellers should be complaining.

Buyer use Feedback as a communication medium, they give negative and then start the communication and say they will remove the negative once they are satisfied.
But feedback on ebay are not revisable, new buyers fail to understand this. Buyers specially new buyers abuse the Feedback system to their advantage.


They should first communicate with the seller if the seller does not respond or attend your complain then Negative feedback should be used as a last resort.

For sellers to operate on ebay Community court is a must, it should also include Neutrals and TnS Should wait for the outcome of Community court case result before action.

Community court is for those sellers who are very fair in their dealing and yet received a negative feedback due to some misunderstanding which the buyer is not willing to resolve.

Unfortunately, it is been exploited by unscrupulous sellers to get their negative feedback removed. But sooner or later, dishonest sellers will cease to sell on eBay.

One cannot be a successful seller on eBay unless he/she is honest and professional.

Latest news just in......
get punished for being honest on eBay?
A seller on eBay namely mobile phones etc, sold 3 items to the same customer, dispatched 2 items in 24 hours and buyer received in next 48 hours, unfortunately, 3rd item went out of stock and buyer didn't want to wait, so mobile phones etc issued refund which was approved on 4th June, buyer still left negative.
This happens only in India (eBay.in) buy genuine mobiles at unbeatable price.
