Cable received doesn't work -- Am i cheated?

Recently I've purchased the CA-42 cable from ebay paisa pay and got the cable (Seller: aktayal). The cable received is not CA-42 compatible (functionally). This cable doesn't work properly at all. After connecting to handset, the message data cable connected comes and them it say incompatible cable.
A word of caution, the cable though in the product description claims to be CA-42 but actually it isn't.
I Feel cheated. Just a word of caution for those who intend to buy this cable.

I bought a CA-42 cable and thought that it was bad because it didn't work. But I search online and found some forums and found the driver for it. If you still have the cable you can try the drive @ http://www.prolific.com.tw/eng/downloads.asp?ID=31
it worked for me and a few others
