Buyers wanting items to be shipped to Nigeria

I am trying to sell a Sony Vaio laptop for the past few weeks. Everytime I list the item, some buyer buys it at the highest price and want the goods to be shipped to Nigeria. And the said buyers want to pay by Western Union or Moneygram. The said Western Union and Moneygram emails you with picture of DD in equivalent USD, but with a rider. Money will be delivered only if tracking no. is given. I think this is all fraud. And one interesting thing about this is that the said buyer always communicates directly with you thro email bypassing the ebay messaging.

The result of above is that you never get sufficient time to sell your item. Ebay should do something about it.

We are aware of the problem sellers are facing due to non paying buyers.

We would like to inform you that on eBay we have a tool called Bidder management where you can block bidders from bidding on your listings.

There are 2 ways to block bidders
1. Block bidders based on certain criteria
2. Block bidders by User Id

You can block bidders based on the following criteria
- If they have received up to 3 negative ratings in the last 30 days
- Block bidders with unpaid item strikes
- Block bidders from cities / countries you do not ship to

To add users to your blocked bidder list based on negative feedback, unpaid items strikes and location- Log onto your My eBay
- Click on eBay preferences under My Account
- You have an option called Buyer requirements under Seller Preferences. Click on the change link to edit the criteria for users on your blocked bidders.

You can also block bidders by User Id's. This means that those particular bidders will not be eligible to bid on your listings.
To block bidders by user ids
- Log onto My eBay
- Click on All Selling.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page in the Related links section
- Click on the link “Block or Pre approve certain bidders”
- Click on the link “Add an eBay user to my Blocked Bidder / Buyer list
- Add the eBay id’s of users you wish to block from bidding on or buying your items.

When a user who is in the block bidder list tries to bid on your product he will receive an error stating he is not eligible to bid on your product. A blocked bidder list is applicable for all listings.
