Notice found on bidpay.com
On March 3, 2006, CyberSource Corporation purchased all the outstanding stock of BidPay.com, Inc. from First Data Corporation. CyberSource was informed about your privacy elections in connection with that purchase and is contractually required to honor those elections consistent with BidPay's privacy policies and applicable law.
BidPay was shut down on December 30, 2005 and, to the best of CyberSource's knowledge, all pending transactions through December 30, 2005 were processed. BidPay is NOT YET IN OPERATION, but we hope to re-launch the service sometime this summer. Until the service is re-launched, we will not be able to respond to specific questions about the BidPay service or transactions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
WARNING: DO NOT ACCEPT OR SUBMIT PAYMENTS THROUGH A SERVICE PURPORTING TO BE BIDPAY OR AUCTIONPAYMENTS.COM.
Any payments purportedly involving use of the BidPay service after December 30, 2005 are fraudulent. We have recently learned that there are scams targeting eBay sellers, often involving the shipment of goods to Nigeria or Lagos. If you have been involved in a transaction involving the payment of goods via BidPay, please contact your local law enforcement authority.
THIS IS FOR THE INFORMATION OF OUR SELLERS - IF ANYONE WANTS TO PAY THRU BIDPAY, YOU CAN BE REST ASSURED THAT ITS A FRAUD
