Baazee Community is now "HIRAK RAJAR DESH"

We are now on 'Hirak Rajar Deshe' - Ask the meaning of this sentences (A great Bengali Movie by Satyajit Ray) to any Bengali. He/She will explain the meaning of this. All baazeewala are just like Management team members of "Hirak Raja". From Dec-2004 onwards almost all changes are against sellers/buyers. Did they bother these?

No - Hirak Raja also didn't bother.

I'm giving one quotation from this movie:

"There is no end of education - so it is worthless to be educated" - This was the slogan of "HIRAK RAJA".

Is not baazees slogan like this for all so called community friendly changes?

Are not Baazeewalas explanation for the changes like the above?

One gentleman from Baazee asked me over phone regarding my comments on two changes(FEBURARY) which I think most against the seller.

Unfortunately The two changes which I had mentioned over phone has been implemented at the very begining of 4th Feb-05. Till now we are struggling with "JANUARY"

This is more dangerous than Natural SUNAMI. At least they have face it only once. Whereas we are facing it repeatedly DECEMBER .... then JANUARY .... then FEBRUARY

then ..... dont wrry will come soon in BAAAAZEEEEE.

I'm sure all of you can guess the most wrost changes :

Auto Relist set to ZERO with implementation of Schedule Listing Charge.
300% or more increase in EL's
along with----
Removal of Prompts
Bound the sellers to sold the items on min bid price
Preventing using of Secondary category for multiple qty. item listing

so on so on....

With this

Closing of items by Fraud Watch team WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION like the arrest of general public by "Hirak Soldiers" in "HIRAK RAJAR DESHE".

And neglegible response of any Cafe Feedback to Baazee Team.

All the proposed changes has already been implemented.

So Request don't go away from BAAZEE face the situation as per following.
1. DON'T USE ANY EL'S

2. DON'T PUT ANY COSTLY ITEM IN AUCTION. LIST THOSE WHERE COST CAN BE REALIZE FROM SHIPPING CHARGE EVEN AFTER BEING SOLD AT RE. 1/-. THIS WILL HELP TO IGNORE BAAZEE DEFINED BID INCREMENT, RESERVE AUCTION FEES, FORCE SELLING AT LOWEST BID PRICE.

3. INCREASE THE PRICE OF ITEM BY 2.5% WHERE ITEM PRICE IS ABOVE RS. 15000/- AS AFTER THIS PRICE YOU HAVE TO PAY 2.5% EXTRA SALES FEES THAN PREVIOUS(MAX RS. 750/-).

4. INCREASE THE PRICE OF ALL ITEMS BY 4.5% AND OFFER 2.5% CASH DISCOUNT FOR DD/MO/ATM DROP BOX/CASH PAYMENT. HIGHLIGHT THIS OFFER IN ITEM DESCRIPTION. THIS WAY YOU CAN REALIZE SURCHARGE ON CC/OLBT.

5. SUBSCRIBE FOR BULK UPLOAD TOOLS AND MAKE A CSV FORM FOR YOUR ALL ITEMS. THEN UPLOAD THIS CSV FORM ONCE A WEEK. BE CAUTIOUS ABOUT START DATE/TIME AND END DATE/TIME. START MUST BE JUST 48 HOURS MORE THAN DATE/TIME WHEN UPLOADING AND END DATE/TIME WILL BE 7 DAYS MORE. E.G. IF YOU DECIDED TO UPLOAD THE CSV FORM ON 15TH FEB AT 6.30 PM THEN MAKE THE START DATE/TIME AS 17TH FEB 6:30 PM AND END DATE WILL BE 24TH FEB 6:30. THIS WAY YOU CAN IGNORE SCHEDULE LISTING CHARGE. ALTHOUGH THIS MAY CAUSE MULTIPLE LIST - LET BAAZEE TO REMOVE YOUR MULTIPLE LISTINGS.

Absolutely, Baazee has just removed all the systems that were different from eBay (even though they were very useful) without getting all the good systems practiced on eBay. This has created major problems for all sellers.


Maybe its the people at eBay who are forcing Baazee to change all the systems to make Baazee an exact copy of eBay! But doing it in such a irresponsible, pathetic and unplanned way is not all good for a site of eBay's stature. They seem to be in no mood to hear anything from their Indian Management/Employees, especially after the MMS issue, and just order them to strictly follow whatever they say. X-( So bad an unthoughtful of them!


I can just hope that this chaos ends at the earliest and we can have all the so called "Best Practices" of eBay on Baazee ASAP. :_| Infact, I personally feel many of Baazee's practices were BETTER than ebay's "best" practices. :^O Take for example the Privilage buyers club, Hot selling, 1 paisa stock clearance, etc. which helped the buyers a lot and everyone loved them (hope they stay!). Then, there was auto-relist faciltiy which saved sellers a lot of time, priority EL for selling low value items with some ELs, multiple quantity listings with secondary category facility, lower featured listing charges which not only gave more sales to sellers but also more EL fees and commission to baazee, and many other such features.


The sellers are unhappy can be proven with a look at the cafe threads, and the loss for baazee can easily be proven by small example... just hava a look at the Featured items page on baazee, 15 days ago there were over 800 item with featured listing, today there are less than 200!!! So a loss of approx Rs.50000 per week for baazee!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Ans that is even after accounting for the increase in the Featured EL fees (Old: 800 x 100 = 80000. New: 200 x 150 = 30000. Net Loss = 50000)


So can eBay answer where is Baazee heading now? How long can eBay's Indian Operations bear such losses created due to mistakes(so called decisions!) made by some people sitting in the US who donot, and just refuse to understand their Indian counterparts and the Indian market? ?:| :_|


I just sincerely hope that the people at eBay get back their heads stable on their shoulders, and see to it that baazee really turns into a great site that it was on the path of becoming(before they came in and took it off path). And yes... not to forget... solve all the woes of so many sellers complaining about hundreds of things that are going wrong on Baazee, and inturn be happier as they can get the highest returns on their investments in Baazee.
