Hello Manoj (kumar.m),
Thank you for raising this topic and allowing me too highlight some of the good work that the Category Managers (Raj, Navin & Biren) have been doing over the past couple of months to ensure that VAT is either charged as per the RBI policy or is not charged at all.
You can clearly notice the difference in categories such as Mobiles, Memory cards & pen drives, etc. where you would certainly agree as an informed member that VAT was being overcharged.
They are very much focused on getting this act in place in other categories and will continue to drive this approach to make the marketplace a safe and fair platform.
Keep posting!!
Regards,
Indraneel

RBI Policy ????
Since when did RBI have a policy on VAT?
About 1 year ago we were assured that the VAT functionality would be removed. But only assurances. No concrete work.
Evem the shipping charges are greatly abused by sellers all around.
You will find many selllers still charging over Rs.200/- to ship a usb drive weighing no more than 50 gms.
