I am sick of Professional Couriers delaying to deliver consignments on flimsy excuses and demanding that I go and collect my item in person. So eBay should allow buyers to select the courier service they want, and of course pay more in transmission charges, instead of leaving it to the seller to select the courier. Next time I will ask the seller not to send my item by Professional and this will lead to my paying the seller outside of eBay/PaisaPay. So in their own interest eBay may kindly bring into effect the selection of Courier by the buyer and also a rating system for Couriers so that all couriers try to make their services better.

There should be a instruction / remarks option for the buyer while placing the order, where he can tell seller about his preference for courier. Many buyers of mine have suggested this and some other sites are offering the same.

Two items I purchased from 1) INKSHOP INDIA and 2) DAILYTOOLS through ebay have not reached me as both the sellers have sent the order by TRACKON courier which is a less known/not known Courier. On tracking I could understand that the Courier company returned the items to the respective sellers.
My suggestion is that providea column for the buyer to choose his courier company as in Flipkart.com
I prefer Proffessional couriers as they promptly delivered all the items to me so far

@mnmnairnair...
I have been buying from Flipkart for the last 1 year and I never got the option of choosing the courier company. In fact they always send my item by Aramex and when I requested them to send by some other courier they said it cannot be done as it is chosen by the system optimised by the destination city so they cannot change it.
I again checked just now and there is no option for the buyer to choose the courier company. Please check again.
PS: This was suggested to ebay long long back to allow sellers to set and display their preferred courier service and also allow buyers to choose their courier cos directly in the listing itself but sadly ebay does not listen to seller suggestions, they have their own so called "intelligent advisers" to whom they listen(even though they may not have any business sense or selling experience).

Hi,
It all depends on the tie-up and relationship between sellers and the courier company.
Sellers can mention their courier tie-ups in the description which makes buyers easy. ---------------

Hi rajelectroniks,
Flipkart uses Bluedart, Aramex and their own logistics in Bangalore.
Now days, eBay has stopped listening to their community. ---------------

@bharanimoorthy... Next time after you buy just contact your Seller via Ask a question link and tell him your preferences.
