hi,
I had successfully bid on 2 items from the same seller. I had made payment immediately. I got a message from the seller after more than a week that the item was not in stock. I then asked the seller why they had listed it if it was not in stock. The Seller then blamed eBay for asking for advance listings. The seller refunded the payment made though.
In my feedback, I left a neutral feedback stating the facts - that I had paid, the product was not in stock and money was refunded and added that it was not a satisfying experience. The seller requested me to withdraw this. I did not, since it would be tantamount to bypassing the feedback mechanism.
The seller in return has left negative feedback and also mis-stated facts.
Should there not be a method of barring such unscrupulous sellers that tarnish the reputation of decent buyers?
What will eBay do to safeguard against such abuse / misuse?
Regards,
Srinivasan
