A word of caution!

Some sellers are selling huge Emeralds and Rubies very cheap. Do not be fooled by the huge size and cheap price, because the stone may be OR may not be genuine.
Good quality Emeralds and Rubies are very expensive. Compare the price of these huge sotnes with similar smaller stones and you will understand what I mean.
With regards and best wishes to all my friends on ebay.

A word of caution!

Dear Shamim ji,
How are you doing? You had pointed out a very serious issue and I will add more details as how fake emerald are being sold openly.

Most of the people think that Green Beryl = Emerald, but its not the true.

Emerald is a Green Variety of the Beryl which contents
Chromium as the Color Element but in case of Green Beryl it don't content Chromium.

Since all other properties of Green Beryl are same as Emerald like Reflective Index, Specific Gravity, Inclusions etc,now a days Green Beryl are been dyed with color to make it look like Dark/Medium Emerald and then been sold as Natural Emeralds(Some will mentioned Color Enhance Emerald or Color Enhance in Treatment section)

Spectroscope is the instrument needed to identify the Presence of Chromium and without Spectroscope no one can identify the presence of Chromium and thus It can not be declared as EMERALD too.

Unfortunately some labs provide the Dyed/Colored Green Beryl as Natural Emerald without checking the presence of Chromium in Spectroscope.

But a Novice person doesn’t know such technical facts and thus buy the stone as Natural Emerald. Moreover people are always getting attracted to cheap prices and huge size and end up buying fake stones.

Also Dyed Quartz are also been sold as Natural Emerald/Natural Ruby.

A Natural Emerald or Natural Ruby are very Expensive. If such huge size will be available then it will be too expensive.

I thank Shamim ji for this nice post.

I hope my post will help.

Best Regards,
Deep Agarwal.
