Recently, I was cheated by a fraud seller with Zero Positive feedback in eBay by receiving a fake (I came to know from a local dealer later) and old item and got threatening phone calls and E-mails with abusing language for updating the receipt for getting payment as soon as possible as he removed the other listings for sale he had.
eBay should verify the following to approve a seller:
1. The seller should have complete name with physical address.so that one can visit or report police in case of any problem
2. Should be with Tax registration numbers
3. Should give the PAN card number.
4. There should be proof of address ID [ a telephone bill scanned copy]
5. There should be a photo ID [ say driving licence or trade licence scanned copy ]
8. eBay should take minimum security deposit based on the listing value from the sellers; this will reduce fake and untrustworthy sellers.
9. The policy should be fair enough to resolve any problem strictly within 2 weeks.
