in continuation with my earlier post ... here i give you an example of why a seller is tempted to go for high shipping charges
check out this one of my listing
http://cgi.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=5428662724
this item is guaranteed to retail at over 500.00 ... i start the auction at 140.00 and charge only 100.00 as shipping charge which all of you would agree is normall ... ( no insurance or any other hidden charges , and i offer 100% unconditional no quaestions asked return policy )...
see the auction's state and wouldn't i as a seller be tempted to go for a RE.1.0 listing and create shipping charges as 299.00 ??? i will recieve 4 - 5 bids within minutes pof the auction opening in this case ... and still the realisation would be 20% extra
ONCE AGAIN I REITERATE that i do not support high shipping charges but just trying to put across why this thing happens ... and why ebay needs to educate the buyers why it is happening ... all 1 RE. listings should carry a statutory warn and other listings where ebay suspects high unreasonable shipping charges are being charged repeatedly by a seller .. strict action should be taken ... regards
