Seller: - game_mastr.

I am trapped in a deal as I bought a dual sim i9+++ phone from game_mastr. The phone has many defects :_

The battery charge life is very low. Even when I dont use any multimedia tools and my calling is very limited; I have to replace the battery every day.

The body cover is very lose, its a touch screen phone and as I operate through rubbing finger on the screen, the lower body comes out..!

The USB cable supplied did not work even for a day.

I complaint the seller but he takes very long time to respond at every stage. I have returned the cable but he is not responding. Without this cable I cannot connect it to the charger so I have to open the body and change the battery everyday.

The seller has also mentioned in the description of the item on ebay that in case of problem, he would arrange to collect the item from the buyer so that the buyer need not move here and there to return the item for replacement. However he asked me to arrange courier back the defective cable to him.

He has also mentioned in the description of the phone that he will send GPRS settings and JAVA to the buyers. However he is not responding on these points either.

Initially he responded quickly to let me feel secure.. and then he is too slow to respond.. this way he is taking the buyer out of the 'money back' protection period of 7 days.

I was not able to charge the mobile through cable supplied with the set. The seller was too dull on responding my complaints. He phoned me up only after I submitted negativev feedback. He pleaded very politely to remove the negative feedback and was virtually crying for the lose he would suffer because of the negative feedback. He promised me to solve all problems. I believed him and done everything to get the negative feedback removed.

He sent me a defective cable as replacement for the defective one. When I phoned him; he accepted that the set is spurious and promised replacement and that he would arrange to collect the set from me through a courier

Now he is not arranging to pick up the mobile from me for replacement. I am afraid; if i send the phone back; even this would go out of my hands.If this is the state of a so called power seller; I think we need to think twice before spending mony on Ebay.

Whats the remady for such a situation ?

I have put these things here so that other buyers are not duped.

Sad to know this. I am sure Faheem will set it right asap.

Also for your information we have sold more than 200 sciphones and complaints are less than 1%. The fact is that buyers buy with the understanding that the phone will perform like an iphone for 4000 rs.

Nobody provides warranty on chinese phones still Ebay is one place where chinese phones are not only cheapest but also come with warranty. Just buy once from your local market and see the difference.

No offense meant, but you make it sound like sellers on ebay are doing the buyers a favour by selling mobiles phones to them, well let me tell you its not.

What's the point in giving one year or even lifetime warranty when the warranty is not going to be honored at all (I am seeing the condition of these so called mobile kings on ebay in Comm Court everyday) There is no surety that the seller himself is gong to last for a year or not on ebay. The time period of 90 days till a customer can give negative is the main worry for the seller once that passes then let me tell you no seller will even look at the customer.

At least when the buyer buys from the market he is assured that there is going to be no support for the mobile and he goes in for the deal with that frame of mind, but on ebay FALSE promises are made and that HURTS even more. The case sited here is an ample proof of the same.

I too am suffering after buying i9 phone.
its useless.

IT DOESN'T WORKS AFTER 60 DAYS TIME.

i bought from ebay 😞

i am more than sad for what i wasted my money all false promises.

it also said in item title that we can choose mp3 as our ringtone WHAT A BIG LIE there is no method at all which can make the mp3 a ringtone.

It stopped working completly after 60 days.

I hardly use my mobile.
Hardly here means 10 days in a month AND IN 20 DAYS OF USE IT STOPPED WORKING.

SELLERS SHOULD WRITE EVERYTHING CLEARLY ON THEIR LISTING THEY SHOULD WRITE CLEARLY IT WILL STOP WORKING IN 60 DAYS TIME AND BATTERY WILL LAST FOR FEW HOURS ONLY EITHER YOU USE MULTI MEDIA OPTIONS OR NOT.

GAMES ARE MAXIMUM 80% IN CHINESSE LANGUAGE EVEN IF YOU TRY YOU CANNOT PLAY THEM.

MORE THAN 80% OPTIONS GIVEN IN THIS PHONE ARE NOT FOR INDIAN USERS.

I am not sure what your experience has been. I am speaking out of experience. As with nokia, sony erricson warranty is offered with a clause. We sellers offer similar warranty on the similar lines.

Also when i said my statment i was comparing with rediff, indiatimes and other sites where sellers offer only 7 days or 30 days warranty.

Also any warranty is better than buying from local market which dont offer any warranty.

Hi,

I see that the seller has a great ratings 99.9% postive so I think he would set everything right.

There are a couple of things I would like to point out here.

1) The sellers of the so called "Chinese Phones' are going overboard with the descriptions. If you read the descriptions you would feel that these are the next best thing to the Apple iPhone when in fact they are not. These are low cost, low quality phones and should be considered as such only.

Even though the Phone Model, in this case i9+++, is the same, the same model in made in different factories in China. Hence the quality from one seller to other will differ. And even in one lot to the other lot the quality will greatly differ.

2) I feel there is a small nudge from ebay to provide a 1 year warranty on these phones. Typically warranties are offerred by manufacturers / importers and there are few importers selling directly on ebay. Most sellers buy these phone without any warranty / guarantee from their suppliers. So it is a little difficult providing one year warranties for such phones. Ideally these phone should carry only 90 days or max 6 months warranty to reflect the realworld. All other websites offer only 3 / 6 months warranty on these products and prices prevalent there are much higher than those on ebay (sellers have a built in cushion due to higher price to honor warranties).

So, I think if sellers describe their products more accurately and manage buyer expectation there should be no problems. Also they should offer warranties which they can reasonably live with, no go overboard with descriptions and warranties.

However if currenty scenario continues, all sellers of Chinese made handsets will be suspended atleast once every year 😉

Me too had ordered an i9+++ phone on 23rd of august from game_mastr named mr. faheem and till now i hadn't get any infornation about shipping and on calling him he makes a different excuse every time as mentioned in his description that the item will shipped in one bussiness day , I think you guys are right after posting a positive feedback they hardly looks after our issues .

I am also a hapless buyer who traped with Mr Fahim (game_mastr)scipohone i9+++ and still not get rid off.I have purchased Sciphone i68+ DUAL SIM JAVA SHAKE
TOUCH 8GB-Promo Offer from the seller game_mastr on 7th June'09.After a
long waiting time I have received the item on 4th July'09.But from day
one its battery charger and USB cable were not working.I contacted the
seller and he assured me to replace the same.Also seeing his good
behaviour and humble voice on phone I gave him positive feedback.But
after receiving positive feedback ,he was start showing his real face.Also I have to shipped the faulty charger and cable on my own
expenses while he was telling in his listing that there is buyer doorstep pickup of defective item.I could not received replacement after 03 months.I only
received a SMS that item was received by him and returned back at
earliest.Also I have send number of mails,SMS regarding returning back
of my items but he never answred.Initially he was telling that there may
be some problem in my mail account thus I am not getting his replies.So
I have given 02 other email ID but never received his replies.Thus it is
cleared how he is fooling me.Now it become height of negligence that he
is not replying SMS and even not replying and start rejecting my phone calls.After a long hault he called me on phone on 12th Sept and oppolises and assured me to replace the item and take my address but after that a long scilence begin again and he is not replying my mail/SMS/phone calls.So I think that
I was duped by a smart guy.

I also wrote to Ebay as follows--
I request you to kindly do something if you could do in this regard.
Also if anyone seller violate his listing warranty claims and not
fulfill his obligation then have you any method to control these listing
violations.
But Ebay they can't resolve the issue saying it was too late.

I understand your situation. I have already sent your item throuugh Registered Post soon after my last call via RP B 874.

It will take atleast 7-10 working days to reach your city.

And importantly, note that no mobile phone user in India can block any particular number with the message 'The number is busy'. Just wanted to say that it was just your misconception that I blocked your number purposely. I need not (in other words don't have time to) block any particular number.

Hope atleast now you are a bit relieved.
