Hi,
Yogen is a good guy. He is trying to do all from his side.
However buyers cannot sit at their homes and order sellers to sastify all their needs.
All Mobile phones service providers (Airtel, etc.) were sending out SMS in Nov, 30th to get GIN implanted but all the cribbers just ignored the smses. There were articles in newspapes. The service providers had detailed instructions on their websites. They (the buyers) should have got GIN implanted before Nov.30 or atleast contacted those sellers who claimed GIN to have GII implanted by the seller.
I have posted on these very boards that post Nov, 30, all i9 phones will stop working. Where were all these buyers than?

Why did you not visit the community boards, why did you ignore the warnings sent out to you by your mobile phone service provider?
In the recent past I have been stuck with bad phones, electronic equipment from Brands such as Nokia, Samsung, etc. All these MNC brands offer much worse service than ebaY sellers. Still no one blames them, does not go cribbing as there is no ebaY there to listen to them.
Still Yogen is there to help the buyer by getting their phones fixed for the imei problem even now.
Take his help and get the phones fixed instead of cribbing here on the boards.
Some are cribbing about rs.200/- expense. If you bought a product from a store and the service center was say 30 kms away, you would be paying more in fuel to go there and have it serviced. So what is this Rs.200/- thingie?
Everything in life is a cost. And a seller who makes hardly 5% on ebay sales is not going to give lifetime warranty. I do not think any buyer on ebay should really beleive in a LifeTime warranty by an ebay seller.
I have also asked ebay to limit a seller's warranty to 90 days. Any further than that, is really a sham.
Most components required to repair a Chinese made phone will not be available after 90 days as these phones are discontinued by manufactures in less than 6 months. You have newer models introduced every other month and a lifecycle of a China Mobile is no more than 6 months.
ebaY sould really come out with a policy which forbids a seller from giving out a Sellers' Warranty more than 90 days. By turning a blind eye to this, ebay is causing more harm to it long term goals.
In the USA, ebay has encouraged third party warranty providers like Square Trade, where warranty for many products is available for 1-3 years at a nominal cost. This kind of third party service providers should be introduced in India at the earliest and this sham which is called Seller's Warranty should be ended at the earliest.

As an aside - I too sell Chinese Mobile Phones but I have never made any Claims prior to Nov.30 that these phone have or do not have GIIs. I would rather offer my phones at a lower price than offer charge a premium and offer a 1 year / LifeTime warranties. My i9 phones are the lowest price on ebaY but I only offer a 7 days Money Back which I can easily honor.
