You are very much right in pointing out the high shipping charges.
This is true for low value Items being sold in 1 Paisa Auctions. But were high shipping is asked for Buy it Now Items, ebay is pulling down the Listings.
It has been observed that the low value Items at Rs.1 don't get enough bids and end up at initial price of Rs.1 + shipping.
So the Sellers have increased the shipping & Handling charges to lower their loss.( or to gain a nominal profit.)
The Community is giving its feedback to ebay and a Policy is expected, in near future, on High Shipping Charges.
A suggestion is there to have ZERO shipping for 1 Paisa Auctions so that these auctions are meaningful. Also that, only the Members with a FEEDBACK score of 10 should be allowed in these Auctions.
Let's see what ebay has to say.
