eBay is so obsessed with telling us how wonderful PaisaPay is that important facts about it are buried in obscure places. What I want to know is this:
1. PaisaPay accounts can be opened only in selected cities, but I think only sellers have to register for a PaisaPay account. Is this true?
2. I think I once read that a buyer can pay by PaisaPay from ANY online bank account from ANY city, without having to register for a PaisaPay account. But even after searching for a long time, I can no longer find the place where I read that.
I want to buy from a new seller who, according to eBay rules, can accept payment only via PaisaPay. Before committing to buy the product, I want to make sure I won't have any problem paying for it.
Can anyone please clarify these points?

I have just finished chatting with eBay Live Chat. They told me that payment with PaisaPay can be done only through online accounts with ICICI, HDFC and Citibank.
This is an unreasonable restriction and will surely limit sales severely.

include AXIS bank too.i also wonder why these people have not included all nationalised bank at least major ones like sbi, pnb, centralbank, ocb etc or their sales would have grown exponantially.
the reason may be that these are private sector banks which might be paying e-bay for every transaction as feewhich nationalized banks dont.since the private sector banks save on pay and benefits would otherwise go as employees salaries however here the customer be it seller or buyer is doing bank transaction online what bank requires is highly secured gateways of payments.:^O?:|

It's frustating actually. In fact I opened an account in HDFC bank only for this reason. Don't understand why they can't include other banks.

Also I don't understand why would it take 24 hours to clear the payment. They charged my Credit Card, but did not clear payment yet, when I asked they are saying it will take 24 hours, which I think uncalled for. I am deeply unhappy with PaisaPay, wont use it again.
