POD-Proof of Despatch, (not Proof of Delivery) Required Urgently, Please

Just allowing seller to feed in shipping details (which could be fake) is not enough. He should also provide scanned copies of courier receipt & delivery address proof, and, as far as eBay is concerned, they should provide a link to buyer to download those details to check on the authenticity of the courier receipt & delivery address, enable him to cross-check with courier Co. & then there should also be facility for Buyer to agree to the details as authentic or otherwise.

India is a vast country most of it undeveloped / underdeveloped.

This is a real gem of a statment. Is this based on any kind of study or just a fagment of your imagination?

There are many locations to which there are no proper roads, forget transport. There are hundreds of locations in India which no courier delivers. We have tie up with 6 different couriers, still there are some locations where there is no service.

Delivery to North East usually take over 5 days even via DTDC. We have paid BlueDart Rs.800/- (under contract) to deliver a 2.5 kg parcel to NorthEast and they have taken 5 days to delivery.

Couriers like DTDC (no.1 in reach, barring none) whose base is Kolkata return parcels sent to Howrah stating insufficient address after 10 days.

about 4.8 DSR being good. WOW are we talking about India or the USA?

There are hardly any sellers on ebaY.in who have 4.8 on all the DSRs. There may be a few but very few, I may add.
There is an elite group of sellers (along with buyers) on ebay.in who are invited to be a part of a feedback forum called "Voices". These are the best of best of ebay sellers who are invited.

I just went through the feedback of a few of these elite sellers and found that none of them have a DSR of 4.8 on all 4. Even the guy who prides himself of the best customer service in India and charges only Rs.50/- using Bluedart to ship a watch gets only 4.6
on shipping and handling charges (Rs.37.5 + 50% fuels surcharge + 10.3% service tax = total cost = Rs.62/-). He does not even charge the full shipping cost forget packing material and handling.

Really request you not to comment on issues where you have no idea.

I kind of agree with you all.

About shipping, a recent incident, i shipped an item within delhi through bluedart it took 4 days to deliver. we are talking about changing the whole system, which is not easy, although very much possible. If every one is accountable for their work it can be resolved, however, we are raised in way we to never accept our mistakes and pass on the buck to others.

Not possible to get the 5.0 with 100% under any circumstances. again stating, Indian e commerce industry is still maturing. It will take further few years to mature.
The main reason, for low DSR or negative feedback is due to lack of resources and knowledge given to buyers by eBay itself.

eBay should actually post a a message near feedback form, when it clearly says, before leaving negative feedback please be honest and make sure you have tried your best to resolve the matter with the seller.

Apart from that, eBay itself is misguiding the buyers by stating 4.0 stars stands for good. however, if for any reason we fall below 4.3 our account gets restrictions.

So in a way, eBay is dreaming for some thing which indian system at large fails to fulfill for the time being. another case - i got the order on 1st, dispatched same day, seller got it next day. (within 24 hours) still he left 4.0,4.0,4.0,4.0
