Hello Seema/Sameer,
We have received the email Anand Shinde on March 26 for signing up for the PowerShip program and we have accepted the T&C and sent an email to Inlogistics@ebay.com on the same day itself.
While we are excited to try out something new, we have a few questions:
1) We primarily deal in lighting products. Hence till date, when we sent our items, we ensured proper packaging to avoid damage in transit as this is the biggest concern in lighting products. It is for the same reason we use Speed Post, TrackOn and Safexpress as they allow special transit for fragile items.
Per what I have read, products in the lighting category are part of the Powership program but from what I understand we have to use your packaging material only. Can you please shed further light on what sort of packaging material is this? Is it just the outer wrapping or something else?
2) We are hoping supply of the packaging material will not be a problem in Hyderabad. In the earlier days when eBay used to provide packaging material to PowerSellers, supply was always erratic.
3) We understand that if we offer PowerShip, we can then automatically start offering Cash-On-Delivery as well on products which we choose up to Rs. 25,000. Is our understanding correct? Also, can you give some stats around eBay COD and rate of returns (buyer chose COD but didn't accept parcel). How are such situations handled?
Thank you.
