Dear Members,

Community Court was established with an objective to provide a community forum to help address unfair feedback received by a seller. Basis the regular feedback we received from our community members, we are making significant changes to the existing Community Court to better fulfill the objective of keeping feedback fair.

The revamped Community Court will be now called Community Review Forum (CRF) and along will be effective from 3rd Jan 2011, 00:00:01 Hrs (IST).

We believe that these changes will go a long way in helping keep the eBay feedback system fair. To understand more about these changes, please join us for an online workshop on this topic between 4 PM - 5 PM on 24th December 2010 on this thread.

Is it possible that the new jury is confused with the buttons and pressing the wrong buttons.

Its hard to believe this happening in a corporate world.

Its like staying in a dictatorship regime.

Best way out seems increase prices.It will work in short term but long term other sites will take over.

Anilji well i do understand you want to eveolve a unbiased justice system, but everthing under the hood will destroy the belief in the system, as autocratic , dictatorship type.

Thus a few suggestions, if you are really into eveolving the feedback justice system, take it on the paths of the current prevalent justice system around the world in any democracy.

1)Reveal all the outcomes of the cases, once decision comes out in community, like daily cases, Results and by what majority they are lost or won, no need to reveal the jury and also what all 8 jury had to say before closing in the favour or against the favour of the seller/buyer.

2)This way precedent judgements will be evolved and after sterotyping pattern eveolvement, a buyer or seller, can directly refer to past justice or judgement meted out in a similar case, and that will help the jury as guidelines to compose their decision.

3)Also this way we all will feel that the jury is not rigged too, as we will know, what the jury/community feels the sellers should inculcate values in the new system

4)And accordingly a new code of conduct will evolve, which will be easier, and on that basis, seller or the buyer will also know which path to follow while dealing or leaving a feedback, so it doesnot violate the code of conduct of the community.

5)Each and every case is different, but it involves the same limited issues, dealt in different avtaars, and the judgements will always be same for particular kind of cases, this way a good knowledgebase will also evolve and it will become simpler for the appealant and also the defendant to put forth their cases.

6)Also cases where buyers donot want to defend their negative feedbacks, should be called EXPARTE cases and closed in the sellers favours, as if the buyer is not concerned , then why are the entire jury and seller, unecessary wasting resources JUSTICE SHOULD NOT COME CHEAP AND SHOULD BE METED OUT TO WHO DESERVE IT.

7)And if the jury have flawed tremendously in some cases, there should a spearate link for last relook into the decision and the entire community can do mass voting on such a case online.This way noway any injustice will be done to any buyer or seller, and all the mischiefs of the seller or the buyer will come in open, and agood healthy society will be born.

8)This way the sellers will also not take cases to community court which they have grossly erred in and try and talk it out the buyers, as to keep away from bad publicity and buyers will also act as gentleman, now currently as nothing is in open this CRF cribbing will unending abyss.

Sir atleast please let us know which cases we lost based on Jury insufficient quorum and others where jury has majority vote.

Also can you atleast let us know the ratio of such cases, and also ratio of howmany cases are lost to won , as you might be having all the data, and a pattern will clearly emerge.

Also we do see that you have stood by your words of allowing revoting on cases which priorly the sellers had lost on basis of lower jury quorum.

Thank you sir, this small step atleast makes us feel that we are not given a step motherly treatment, we donot ask for any other seller protections just reveal us the data, or information.

Sir kindly give our opinion a second thought, as if you see various threads spread all over eBay community forums, sellers are feeeling that the CRF is unjust, only because the data is not revealed, and i donot think there is any misuse going to done if the process is made more transparent.

Thank you once again for allowing revoting on cases which did not arrive a majority for lack of quorum.

But 1 more doubt if again the jury quorum is not achieved on the same case, will it undergo third time or the time till , a jury arrives proper majority, or the system allows only once, and then its the sellers luck if the jury vote or leave the proceedings Half Hung.

Hello,

Community review forum become biggest joke now. As they are blindly giving votes in favor of buyers only. Where sellers are not in fault still he is punished.e.g. One of my buyer brought manufacture warranty product. The product was sent in seal pack condition with bill. He called us after 2-3 days after the receipt and said he is facing battery backup issue. As product carry manufacturer warranty I asked him to contact service center. He left negative for us. I have raised appeal in community forum. Result come that feedback should remain. What it means? What is sellers mistake if he mentioned everything then also seller punished? Why customer support team who are participating in forum are taking favor of BUYER only where seller not in fault.

I think its shameful work they are doing.

Atleast do a favor to sellers provide some tool to fight against such unfair decisions of Community review forum. As there is no quality control on them. Due to which sellers trust on eBay is loosing.
