I'm using the heading of a thread which was available in this forum 2 years back. Eventhough the individual was cheated, still the same guy is available in ebay with some other id. I will narrate how I was trapped :-

I won Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T300 Digital Camera (110244546868) through bidding for INR 12162.00 from Seller: digital_cameras_india. I was intimated through ebay site http://payments.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?UnifiedCheckoutSummary&itemid=110244546868&transId=0&sspagename=STRK:MESO:VPS that there is some problem with PaisaPay and hence requested me to pay through either of the following methods :-
* Online Bank Transfer
* Cheque
* Demand Draft
* Cash Deposit to ICICI Bank

He agreed to deliver the item within 72 hrs.

To my surprise, when I checked the status later after the payment was made, I could see that the seller is not at all existing in e-bay vide your page http://contact.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ReturnUserIdHistory&requested=digital_cameras_india. I asked from ebay customer care to send the contact details of the seller and you forwarded his contact number as 9869945124. While I tried to contact on the number, a college student from Mumbai attended the call and told me that he is getting lot of wrong calls from many through ebay. It seems like a fraud attempt to sell the item.

He wrote to me a number of times to my e-mail asking the speedy action. When I mailed to him after the payment was made, he gave the following reply :

“Hello Mr. Aravind !

Extremely sorry for the late response.

I'm traveling at the moment. I left my hometown this Sunday. I'm not sure if the funds have been credited as i was in no position to check my account.

Will check and let you know right away. Please provide me your contact details too.

Thanks.”

I’m an e-bay user and purchased many items since Sep 07. I have got full faith in the system. I must not have paid the amount if the reply was not given through ebay itself (vide page http://payments.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?UnifiedCheckoutSummary&itemid=110244546868&transId=0&sspagename=STRK:MESO:VPS).

The details given for payment by the seller is as folows :-

Bank Name : ICICI Bank
Account Name : Nimesh Chotaliya
Account No : 021101509067

These incident gives me a lot of doubts in my mind.

(1) Is there any insider within ebay is playing the game?

(2) Or if the answer is NO, then any insider is helping the guy to cheat others?

(3) Does ebayindia got very casual attitude in verifying the seller or not bothered about the buyers?

Anyhow, i've registered dispute with ebay eventhough i'm not sure about the results. To be frank, this incident had made a deep scar in my faith towards ebay. It reminds me of thinking twice before getting into such deals.

I would like to intimate the flaws in ebay india wherein the same seller has cheated buyers with different ids. Please read the thread http://forums.ebay.in/thread.jspa?threadID=600000628 and also http://forums.ebay.in/thread.jspa?threadID=600001540. In both the cases, the same guy cheated the ebay buyers. I still wonder how come this guy is able to be present in ebay for so long and keep cheating. There may be many many cases where the buyers must not have taken up the matter to forum. These incidents are definitely going to tarnish the reputation of ebay india. Even though ebay is seeing such fraudulent activities, why it is not giving a warning to the buyers not to opt other than PaisaPay? Really in a fix.

Branch : Vile Parle[W, Mumbai
Tele : 09363103469. The mobile number given is giving wrong auto reply with change in number and asks to put number "4" in place of "5" (which is not present in the given number). The message is given in English as well as Tamil only.

I have ordered a car cover for santro Xing as advertised by delhimall. But to my surprise, when i received the material it is for maruti. on the packet it is written Car cover for santro xing. My advise to all is that never buy any thing from these delhi based firms. they generally try to cheat. i had writtn a mail to the person mr S.Chopra let us see what happens.

Talking about reputation of Ebay India,We seller's know very well....

But your problem is serious.As you had said,if its true then this guy can be fraud.

1.Call Ebay customer care and keep track of this issue,do not get lazy in any field.
