An item that I had bought on eBay turned out to be old/used and after consulting with the seller I had lodged a claim with eBay. eBay called me up on phone on 2/1/15 and asked me to scan the copy of the courier receipt through whcih I had sent the item back to the seller. I mailed the same on 2/1/15 and waited. On 4/1/15 eBay writes to me that since I did not send the details in the time line stated that is 4/1/15 my claim is rejected. This highlights the incompetence of eBay which left me aghast.
I have been shopping on eBay since donkey's years and this level of callousness is not acceptable. No wonder shoppers in India are wary of these sites.
