I agree and have gone through the same experience. My claim was rejected saying "I did not reply on time" and Ebay has made several calls but got no response. The fact was I got one call from ebay which I missed. It is not possible to be waiting 24X7 for the call from ebay. I replied with photograph within 2 hours of getting the email from them, but finally after 48 hours they replied "the claim has been rejected as they did not get any response". Now reading the same thing here it looks like this is a regulay way of rejecting a claim.
I thing spreading in social media about this , as well as consumer cases or help from court is required , otherwise EBAY will never be carefull and support the buyers.
If this is not done, the buyer has no option but to just loose his money when things go wrong , as claims are rejected just like that and even with lot of follow up no results come up for the buyers.
