Dear All,

This is to update you on a clarification with regards to the European Sales Booster (powered by WebInterpret) and allotted Zero Insertion Fee (“ZIF”) listings.

What is the problem? : Sellers using WebInterpret  have been charged insertion fees for replication in markets where they have already been given the provision of ZIF. This is only incase of eBay INCBT sellers.

Why is this happening? : You must be aware that eBay INCBT sellers get a special provision called Real Time Promotion (“RTP”)  every month based on their account performance for the marketplaces of eBay US, UK and AU.  So, when a seller uses WebInterpret  to replicate his listings, the existing ZIF (allotted on the given marketplaces) will be consumed by default. If the allotted ZIF is already exhausted by the seller in a given month, when these listings end and get relisted, sellers are charged insertion fees.

What is the solution? : To avoid this from happening here are two approaches eBay INCBT WebInterpret sellers can follow*. Do note the following approach has been specified assuming eBay US as base marketplace for replication. This is only illustrative.

Solution 1:

Turn off the markets in WI settings where they have separate RTP provision i.e. UK & AU. This way, seller will be able to replicate only in remaining eligible  markets - existing UK &  AU listings will remain untouched. (Refer to the image below)

Solution 2:

First,  all take down all the existing listings prior to using WebInterpret from UK & AU manually. Then, make the changes you want in the listings of US. Finally, replicate entire listings of US via WebInterpret on the eligible markets.

Incase of any clarification on the above mentioned information please connect with your assigned account managers (if any).
