Last month and this month I have dropped two crossed account payee cheques for the fees amount that I have to pay to ebay. I dropped it in the drop box in an ICICI Bank's ATM. After a few days, when I checked my bank account, I found that the amount has been debited to my account. But ebay has still not credited my account. When I log on, I get the message that your fees are overdue. I spoke to their billing department people and they told me that they will look into this matter. But nothing has happened so far.

MumbaiMantra is absolutely right ,
I support all his views. Especially his statement that the motto of Ebay “ Exploitaion Of Sellers and Free Goodies To Attract New Buyers” is absolutely true. Just check out now ebay.in is offering Hyundai Getz Car worth Rs. 5 Lakh + free of cost, for a newly registered lucky winner. Have they ever thought of offering A Scooter to a seller as an incentive who has done a whopping business in any given month. Forget scooter , they will not even offer bicycle to sellers. Instead encouraging seller , they will appoint special person rather recovery officer to call up seller everyday and recover fee from him. They will never think about the sellers as MM has said “ ebay.in guys think sellers are earning million” . Retaining a client (either buyer or seller) is not part of their strategy. They just want to concentrate all their efforts to attract new buyers & sellers. But what about client retention. They do not want to do any efforts in that. When first time I had registered myself on indiatimes , they just sent me discount coupons for few weeks , Finally I decided to use these coupons. And I became regular buyer on indiatimes. Even today if I do not purchase on indiatimes for few months, I receive these discount coupons , and I again purchase just to use these coupons. Excellent Idea of Indiatimes. But our ebay.in guys do not scratch their heads because may be they just have to show it to their bosses that ebay.in has so many new registered users. Whether these users are really regular visitors to ebay.in or not is not their concern.
About the new ebay.in it is not at all worth investing time. It’s not at all user friendly. In fact it is absolutely rediculous as compared to baazee.com. If ebay.in thinks they can implement all their American policies in India, they are making a big mistake. In India people do not prefer to buy on net.
No wonder India exports so many programmers to USA as it is evident from ebay.in that Americans do not have logic.
All this Invoice Thing , reminds me of Lagaan movie. Barish (Rain) aur no Barish Ebay.in just wants its LAGAAN whether deal materialises or not is not their concern. Only difference in movie the boss was British and here the boss is American.
If we sellers can unite we can fight all this. So come on seller brothers (Big & small ),
There is strength in Unity, Let’s fight ebay.in together.
Regards to all.

Item number - 5762952929 FVF credit has been granted. But the amount is not been credited in Invoice. So i have already paid the remaining amount for MARCH & APRIL.
But the warning message is displaying " Your eBay selling fees are overdue. Please pay your fees below or your account may be restricted".
E-bay invoice and billing department service is worst.I have sent lot of mails to billing departement until now no action. So i need a quick and positive action to solve this matter as soon.

Could you please answer following:
1. You mention on your site that basic store is Rs.199 only then in the invoice why do you
charge 10% Service Tax and 2% Education Cess on Service Tax on it? Why don't you mention Basic
Store Rs.220.30 straight forward isn't it?
2. When we subscribed to Sales Reports Plus it was mentioned on your site that subscription is
free with basic shop. we have a shop on ebay then why have you charged us following fees in our
May 2005 invoice?
01-Jun Sales Reports Plus: Subscription Fee Rs99.00
If you read the postings in forums lot of sellers have raised this but no action so far.
Your own site says (eBay Shop sellers receive Sales Reports Plus free as part of their Shop
subscription) please check the Subscription Levels section on follwing page to make sure
http://pages.ebay.in/help/sell/sales-reports-subscriptions.html
4. Why don't you mention on your site for those who would be paying for Sales Report Plus that
it is actually Rs.119 (Including 10% Service Tax and 2% Education Cess on Service Tax) and not
Rs.99 ?
3. When you charge us Final Value Fee you apply tax on it so for Rs.100 item you charge us 5%
i.e. Rs.5 + Rs.1 (10% Service Tax) + Rs.0.02 (2% Education Cess on Service Tax)=Rs.6.02
But when you give us Final Value Fee credit you give us back Just Rs.5 why???????
Alternatively you can advertise that Final Value Fee is not 5% but actually 6.02% and while
giving credit back we will just give 5%.
Hope all in this seminar understand what we are trying to say. !! SPEAK THE TRUTH EBAY !!

There are two types of fee related promotions on eBay, system promotions and manual promotions. System promotions charge lower fee to the seller in the first place. For example if the normal charge is Rs 100 and during the promotion (system promotion) it is offered at Rs 50, the charge in the seller’s account will be Rs 50 only. While for manual promotions, as the name suggests, the credits have to be given manually post the promotion. This is done within 45 of the time promotion has ended. For example if the normal charge is Rs 100 and during the promotion (manual promotion) it is offered at Rs 50, the charge in the seller’s account will be Rs 100 and then a credit of Rs 50 is applied separately within 45 days of the promotion and will appear in subsequent invoice.
You might ask – so why run Manual promotions? The reason is that there are certain types of promotions (Buy 1, Get 1 Free, etc.) that cannot be applied using System promotions. But we would like to offer sellers the benefits of such promotions; hence we need to run manual promotions.
For all fees credited subsequently, we shall credit Service Tax charged on the initial fee as well.
