Hello uvshah2002,

Online Help is available at the start of the selling process. It is available through a button called "Live Help". You can use this to ask any questions you might have during the selling process.

To attend the online workshop, you simply have to visit this thread between 3 to 4 PM on Wednesday, the 25th of May. eBay staff will be present to answer your queries live!

Hello Everybody,

Listing an item on eBay is very simple. All you have to do is get registered as a seller and fill details about your item in the Sell Your Item form.

To Register with eBay
1. Click on the “Register” link on top of any eBay page.
2. Enter basic contact information and accept the eBay user agreement.
3. Enter or select a user Id and Password.
4. You will receive an email confirmation from eBay.
5. Confirm your eBay registration by clicking on the button in the mail.

Get verified as a seller
1. Click on the Sell button on the top of all eBay pages
2. Select the verification mode as SMS, Credit Card or Postal mail.
3. Log onto www.sell.ebay.in and enter the confirmation code.

You will then be verified and ready to start selling on eBay.

Lets start with a step by step guide on filling the Sell Your Item form.

1. Click on the Sell link on the top of any of the eBay pages
2. Click on the "Sell your item" tab
3. Select the format through which you wish to sell your item. You can choose from Auctions, Buy it Now or Advertise your services or real estate.

Lets see what these selling formats are;

Auctions
An auction is a selling format where the listing is open for bidding. The seller specifies the start price of the listing. Potential buyers bid the amount they are willing to pay. At the end of the auction the highest bidder gets the auction.

Buy it Now
Buy it now is the same as fixed price selling where the seller specifies a price for the item and the buyer buys at that price.

Advertise your Services or Real Estate
This is like a classified ad where you can advertise your services or real estate and generate multiple leads. You can advertise under this format for 30 or 90 days.

Once you choose the selling format you will be lead to first step of the SYI form i.e. Category

Categories are like departments/ sections in a shop. It is essential to list your product in the right category to be easily visited by buyers.

You have to first choose the main category and then the sub categories that best suit your product.

If you have difficulty with choosing the right category you can take help from the Category Selector.

To sell the product I need to register to Baazee / Ebay by using the link "Join Now". But It asks two options, 1. Member 2. Seller.

Which one should I select.
