Leveraging eBay to sell globally - 29th April

Hi Everybody,

Reaching out to a global audience is one of the many opportunities that have come with eBay. There are many Indian users who are already selling to various eBay markets.

eBay staff members will be conducting a workshop, where we would like to discuss how you can leverage eBay to sell globally. Here we will be discussing various nuances of selling internationally, such as; identifying the hot selling products and categories, researching eBay to sell better, and more.

The workshop is scheduled for Friday, 29th April from 3 - 4.

Do I have to send the US buyer an invoice for the painting? I do not have an invoice actually...Is it a must?

There is no separate invoice required from the one generated by the post sales process on eBay.
For shipping the painting to US, you may have to prepare an invoice which is used for custom clearance. Please speak to an International Couier company and they will guide you through the process.

I am wondering, if it is possible to list my item in US dollar? I ask, because I have item that would be targeted towards US audience and would make things easier.

Dear wwphilately

You can list in US Dollars by listing on www.ebay.com and it is possible to list using the same user ID that you have. The fees for this listing will apply of the site that you are listing but your billing currency remains the same.

If you list on ebay India and select the International Shipping option, your listing also appears on eBay.com. In the item page, the approx. US Dollar value is shown against INR price that you have mentioned.

Out of the two, the former option is better if you want to list only in US Dollars.

hi i have listed some items in ebay.com eventhough i am registered with ebay.in. I am not getting any reply or biddings from anyone. Is there anything i have to do so that the items are more appealing to buyers around the world. I have clicked the option Ship Worldwide. Is Paisa Pay same as Paypal. Can i send some invitations to potential buyers to visit my listings. IS is legal to do so or is it against ebay norms. Is there any other way to advertise my lisitings probably in the home page of ebay.com where i only advertise my listings. I am yet to open ebay store. How do i do it.

Kindly guide if Import-Export code mandetary for small sellers selling occasional items abroad through ebay.in. What is the costs incurred for that code? Is it required if item is despatched through India Post also? Is there any value limit (above which code is mandetary)?
