Hi, I have been using ebay from India since 2018. Back then the custom rules were alot simple. My previous experience with buying off ebay were great. Although back then I only bought a small cheap Arduino nano for like 800 INR (10 USD).
Fast forward to 2024 and Indian custom rules have gotten much much more weird. And I am looking to buy a cat S22 flip phone off ebay for $65 (shipping extra $ 27). I did my calculations and I think I will be able to pay for the customs if they are imposed but I have heard about extra taxes being imposed on folks who didn't hire a shipping agent.
As an Individual who just wants to save money on the customs, what can I do? Looking for some advice to save on customs and also ensure successful delivery. The product page on ebay just says "ebay fulfilled" for shipping and doesn't provide what courier company will handle Shipping.
