I am a seller who wants to sell products from India

Dear thesmartcart,

Greetings from team eBay!

Please note that you can only sell as a “Business Seller” from India on eBay. So, while completing the registration process make sure you select the option of “Business Account”. There are certain mandatory documents that you need to possess to start exports on eBay from India:

  • Permanent Account Number (PAN)
  • Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN
  • Importer Exporter Code (IEC)

Apart from the above, you will also need to create and connect a Payoneer Account with your eBay account to receive the payments for your transactions on eBay. For this, it is mandatory that you have valid proof of identity and proof of address.

You can sell your items directly on eBay's international sites or reach buyers from all over the world with listings on ebay.com. If you wish to sell on eBay.co.uk, then you need to know that :

"If you sell goods in any EU country or in the UK, you may be required to register for Value Added Tax (VAT) and to collect VAT on your sales. If you are a non-UK or non-EU seller with goods in the UK or EU, or you sell goods into the UK or EU, eBay will account for VAT under certain circumstances."

Regards,

eBay Team
