Hello,
Unfortunately, he is right my friend. Once my sister sent me a CD from Delhi to Lucknow and i was a student at that time. To save money order fees or delay in process, i sent rs 2500 (five 500 rs note) concealed inside a book through Blazeflash courier. For the first time in my life, i saw a case of lost packet through courier. Lost item liability given - only Rs 100. Actually, they all have currency scanner / metal detector and low wages people operate, deliver and repack items and there is no vigilance. So you may never know what will happen with the money sent through courier. All couriers will say that sending currency is prohibited in their terms and condition.
PS- Indiapost is much safer in this regard because they dont act like a dog (domestic transfer only). Just wrap a carbon paper around the bundle or put notes inside a book (between the pages).
Thanks
Hasy
