hi,

can anyone tell me if bid listing is too risky than buy it now listing? I have listed several auctions and i earned enormous loss as customers are not making payments and this is happening even after an unpaid case is open..infact i am not getting any help from resolution centre cuz i am stocking the items however customer after winning the bid are not making any payments as resolution centre are not able to solve them...only fee credit has been refunded...so what do you all say????should i go for auction or buy it now?

You have the answer in front of you. What is the point in listing your item for Rs.1/- and courier charges Rs.610/-, this means that even if the item gets 1 bid at Rs.1/- then also you will sell the item. So why don't you sell at the price you want to sell at, its crazy to have courier charges 610/- ebay might even pull down you listing if they see it. Sell at fixed format till you learn the ropes on ebay and understand its working, then you can play around. Also to avoid problems of non-paying buyers accept only paisapay payment method.

@ runi32009 .. I am seeing that you have also listed an item for Rs 1 but with Rs 890 shipping cost.. This sort of practices are sure invite for unpaid items... ..

Also as Mr Raj already told you ebay might pull ur listing considering it way of circumventing ebay fvf fees as shipping charges are not included in calculating fvf.

As a general rule of thumb you can go in for auctions for items with unknown or very high perceived value.. But for something with MRP clearly on the item I would recommand you to go with Buy it now format.

@rajelectronics even after listing items with only paisapay method accepted. Buyers are able to buy items and check out without paying. Even these are causing upi's these days for me..
