Wrong weight by bluedart and PS Couriers and no action by powership seller central or ebay

Hi,
     We ship item form blue dart regularly through agreement with ebay. We ship several items daily however from last few days there has been gross error from the blue dart side on most of our shipments. I am not sure how this is happening. To avoid any error we explicitly mention weight on each and every shipment. To give you few example here I am mentioning the AWB numbers of the item that we sent recently. All these shipments had a weight of less than 100 grams and blue dart charged from 1000 to 2000 grams to each shipment. None of these shipments fall under volumetric weight as the dimensions of these shipments were very small. All shipments were less than 10 inch x 8 inch x 2 inches

This is just a brief list of items that we sent and were charged wrongly.

Powership seller central is not crediting the money for most of the items and the history is not viewable after 45 days

Observation: Most items are charged as per the estimated weight on the ebay shipments which is mostly wrong.

Action Items for Ebay:

I request ebay  to investigate why this is happening and take corrective action.

Make Powership seller central incorrect wight history to be viewable for atleast one year

Most Important: Estimated weight that is mentioned on the shipping lable to be corrected.

Sellers:  Please post your views and your replies if your are facing similar problem so that ebay will know how severe is this problem.

Same issue with majority of sellers. I am one of them too.

I saw the shipping label and found item weight written as 1 KG for a 50gms packet. I looked into my previous orders and found that they have been overcharging. I lost a pretty heavy amount and wasn't even able to recover the product costing.

I spoke to ebay customer care today and was told that the logistic partners has some fight with ebay for charges and they are charging shipping cost as per the shipping label. 

I decided to put hold on my ebay selling until the issue gets resolved. I don't want to be in a huge loss. For a product thet were sold in Rs 350, I got Rs 15 in my account paid.

I took off all of my ebay lsitings. I am not sure whether the issue will be resolved and how much time it will take. I heard from the customer care guy that many of ebay sellers are complaining about same.

We want to know from ebay what action ebay is taking about this issue. What will happen to the the losses incurred by the sellers. We always report the issues in the powership seller central. Once we reported around 40 items with the extra shipping and weight issue and got credited for just 4 or 5 items, that too after lot of persuing. We cannot even check the status of the reported items in powership seller central as the history disappear after 45 days and ebay rarely resolve the issue before that time.

Other Issues: Once an excess weight entry is submitted in powership seller central it cannot be corrected even after 1 minutes.

eg: suppose you got charged 2000 grams for 50 gram COD item and while submitting the excess weight complaint you submitted 50 grams as the acceptable weight.

Result: Your request will be rejected by ebay as minimum weight for COD items is 500 gram.

Instead of rejecting the case ebay should have credited the money charged for the extra weight of 1500.

Are all these issues not known to ebay or they are simply enjoying extra revenue ?

Even we are facing same issues. So we removed Bluedart as an LSP from our Powership account. Now we have only ARAMEX. Due to this our orders have been reduced about 25% but it is better than incurring huge losses. Everything was going well until May End. But since last one week even ARAMEX started doing the same thing.

Observation: They charge weight as per shipping label.

If anybody found out any solution to this please let us know.

By now I have logged 17cases for excess weight and they have not resolved it. Ebay india is really pathetic. only solution now is to sell on other sites or remove powership and ship on ur own.

For recovering our lost amt need to follow up with ebay. 

From my findings it is a technical problem from ebay side. So ebay should be able to resolve it. Weight is being assigned to the parcel even before the courier guy pickup the parcel.

Usually we face the wrong weight issue with the blue dart however in this month of June we are facing the problem with the FEDEX and Aramex as well for around 60 grams item they are putting weight of 1000 to 2000 grams.

Weight of ebay shipments is written incorrectly on the shipping labels and we also feel that it is due to that the incorrect weight is being charged by couriers.

Even after entering weight request in powership seller central ebay hardly approve incorrect weight request issues.

History and correction and escalation procedure should be available in powership seller central.

Suggestion: While creating the listing itself ebay can ask for packaging weight and dimension of the product and while printing the shipping documents ebay can confirm the same from the seller and based on that the shipping charges should be charged.

This will speed up the process.

Totally agree with you ketan.....i have Raised most 40 excess weight issues but non of them are resolved yet....i have ended all my listing already...call eBay several times they are saying the same thing "the issue will be resolved in 15 days " God know when this will be resolved....

we have reported several of these wrong weight items in the powership seller central let see how many of these ebay will resolve or they will just go in vain as usual.

i m too facing the issue with FEDEX, from today ebay's min weight is 500gm, whereas it was 300gm earlier, before that it was 200gm last month, ebay and courier partner are looting sellers,

it should be stopped otherwise ebay will loose sellers also buyers

I am not sure why ebay takes so long to resolve this weight issue. When a customer opens an ebay guarantee claim, ebay first deduct the amount and later resolve the issue. Why don't they follow the same procedure in case of excess weight issue. Why this double standard?

They should first credit the excess weight amount to the sellers and later investigate the matter.

Even a kid can understand that a small 3 inch sticker cant be 4 kg then now can ebay charged us 4 kg for a sticker which we sent in the smallest ebay pack and the issue is pending form last one month.
