VAT over charging

Some sellers are over charging the VAT. They are charging 10% VAT on computers and IT related goods. Current VAT rate is 4% on these products. They also keeps there price low and cover the cost from over charging of VAT.
All buyers are requested to check that how much VAT he is paying before placing the order.

E-bay India should also check this issue at the earliest.

This is a very serious issue.

The more serious issue is that many unregistered dealers are charging and collecting VAT and not paying the same to the government.

Since ebay cannot check each and every seller and each and every listing, the best alternative would be to remove the VAT functionality totally for the ebay.in site.
