Shipping from India to US Question

I have a friend in India who would like to know the cheapest way to ship to the US. Any suggestions?

I think I have found it http://www.indiapost.gov.in/Netscape/PostageCalculator.html but if anyone knows of a cheaper route, please advise.

look for a small courier. below 500 for 500gms is wht they will charge

First of all let me apologize to techniwas and jaipur_fashions. I failed to save the reminder of this thread. In fact I'm not even sure how to do this.

Anyway it looks like Sample & Small Packet might be the way to go. Can anyone who has used this confirm?

I am still not sure how to be notified of your response. So bear with me as it took me quite awhile to find this thread tonight.
