Anyone know how eBay does the search for Keywords and lists the "Best Match" item on top floowed by the rest and a buyer would actually have to choose to show "Lowest price+Shipping" to get to see the item which is genuinely the lowest price?

There are whole lot of articles on ebay about how can you increase your search score. These talks about many things, like title, keywords, descriptions, etc that contribute to search score. What I hv noticed is that, new items are listed higher than ur old ones. The search score start to fall as items get older and are not sold.
Also, there is a dependency on ur seller status like, standard, above standard, powerseller and top rated seller.
