Dear friends
We all know that our parcels are
opened and then repacked by Courier Company in transit. This is done for
security purpose or sometime to use the item for some minutes and test it or
finger it.
I was planning to make a packing
tape which has eBay logo / eBay written on it. (This
will be done only if eBay allows us). These types of tapes will reduce it
to some extent and we can inform the buyer to let us know if in case the tapes
were tempered.
I hope that you all must have
seen bluedart or aramex tapes or must have seen some other companies brand
tapes.
I have enquired about it and we
will have to make atleast 5 cartoons which consist of about 480 tapes of 1 ½
inches each. This will cost upto 15000/- Rs only. It comes upto 31.25 Rs per
tape which is affordable.
I think if ebay allows us we all
can share the price and distribute the tapes among us.
This
will also bring a good feeling to the buyer and more popularity for eBay.
Also since eBay is planning to
provide us with power seller packing material this can be done by eBay also.
My friends please give some
feedback and let me know if someone is interest in contributing for the same.
I hope to get a positive
answer for this from eBay also.
Regards
Shuaib

It is not a good idea to tell the delivery man that ebay item is inside. Courier delivery boy may be itching to open and take off something from this. Better to ask the courier company to make a security sticker says "Item/Security Checked" in red color and sould be stick on the closing area. So that the parcel will go with out opening further. It will be easier if courier company buys a handy metal deductor and check if parcel has hard metal things in it. Just sending t-shirt wont be a problem, metal deductor will not indicate something. If you have a hard disk or any electronic equipment then you have to show the item to the courier company before you close the parcel. Once parcel is closed you can get stickered with "Item/Security Checked". Identifying ebay on parcel is not a good idea, some customer may loose their privacy of purchasing from ebay.
Best regards,
CoolBrasCo.
