Now "Buy it now" fee, what is this

Hello

Now ebay started a "Buy it now" fee for each listing Rs. 1
Could i know what it means. we all know that each listing is normally "Buy it now" listing then it means that now all the sellers will have to pay fee 1 Rs on each listing even if the item do not sold.

Dear ragsell,
The fee is applicable onlu when your selling format is auction and you want to give buyer a chance to buy the product without waiting for the bidding process to end.
It is generally a inidcation of the price at which seller is willing to sell the product.
Normal buy it now is not being charged currently. I hope this will reaming same for the near future.

The Buy It Now Auction format allows the buyer to buy the product immediately without waiting for the auction to end and can be used by sellers to make their sales faster. It enables the buyer to buy the product instantly or place a bid. Once a bid is placed on the product the Buy It Now feature is not applicable. ---------------
