Hi
15 days ago i returned from Hong Kong. Thanks to the
Community Championship award a few months ago.
Shuaib (brand.deal) was with me. Without him, the trip could have been very lonely.
Overall it was a very interesting and enjoyable experience. This was my first trip abroad and i will always cherish it.The trip was a perfect balance between leasure and work. In fact even work was leasure in HK !
We were there for 6 days and stayed in a posh hotel in Wan Chai - a 20+ storeyed building. The area is one of the premium areas of HK.
Got a chance to meet one of the top-most sellers in HK. His id is
digital-rev. He specialises in digital cameras, especially the ones used in professional photography. He is truly a live example of an ebay-success!
While talking to him, i told him that i sell only in my own country. His reaction to it was " How can you survive by selling only in India ??" He sends his cameras around the world and cannot imagine selling just in HK. He said i was seriously limiting myself by focusing only in India. That hit me hard and i had to re-think about my business strategies.
The entire world is open, and for those of us not taking advantage of it, are committing a blunder.
For sellers who have got something unique to sell, i suggest exploring international selling as well. The fulfillment rate is very high ( i guess, close to 95%). Friends, big money lies in other markets!
Also, my belief that you can be wealthy at an early age was re-inforced after meeting this seller. He is not even 30, and has amassed a fortune selling online, mainly ebay. The meeting also re-establishes the fact that online-selling is the way of the future. If you are selling on eBay, i strongly believe that that you are in right business at the right time. A bit of hard work is required to propel yourself to unimaginable success.
We got enough time to explore HK. It is a beautiful, pollution-free city. Standard of living is very high.
The underground railway system was truly amazing. Very well organised, fast, and the best way to commute in HK. All buses are air-conditioned. People are very co-operative and always willing to lend a helping hand. Sightseeing is breathtaking!
If you ever get a chance to go there, dont miss it!
I would like to thank eBay, and all those who were involved in making this trip a successful one.
Best regards
Abhishek
