Dear Members,

As you have already read on Announcement board, effective 3rd August 2015, a critical change was made for the ‘Shipping Cost’ field for all listings in categories mentioned below. A detailed list of subcategories impacted by this can was announced here found here

So far, for listings under the categories mentioned below, a seller could mention item price and shipping cost separately. This created inconvenience to buyers because there was no uniformity in the listing price. We believe that offering free shipping will help you grow your sales significantly.

From 3rd August 2015 onwards, all the categories mentioned below do NOT have the option to provide ‘Shipping Cost’ as a separate field. The default entry for ‘Shipping Cost’ will either appear as ‘Free’ or ‘NIL’ or ‘Zero’ for domestic shipments.

All sellers need to the following:-

1. If your margins do not allow you to offer free shipping, you may want to add shipping or any other charges in your listing price and edit listing price for all such live products. Not doing so may have financial implications as the shipping cost field will be Nil.
2. You need to state in subtitle & product description that the listing price is inclusive of shipping price. This is critical for products where listing price is greater than MRP
3. With reference to point # 2, you may need to re-list the items in case you are editing subtitle or description.
4. Please re-list all your GTC listings, as they get auto-listed again. Please ensure this is done by 20th of August, 2015. In case not done, we will be forced to end these listings/cancel store subscription.

This changes would be help for some big player. It is very bad for small saller and who is located in small town. 

There is no option for local shipping charges frree and National shipping chargable . Ebay is helping for big seller.

Boss, this is horrible.!

Early scenario : 

1. If a user wants to buy a tooth brush [worth rupees 50 + 50 shipping cost] total = 100.

2. If a user wants to buy 10 tooth brush [worth rupees 50*10 + 50 shipping cost] total = 550

NOW - since the shipping cost is being added into the product cost.!

1. If a user wants to buy a tooth brush [now worths 100 INR] total = 100 INR.

2. If a user wants to buy 10 tooth brushes[now worths 100*10] total = 1000 INR.

I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIGURE OUT A LOGIC TO BALANCE THIS.

PLEASE HELP SELLERS KNOW HOW TO DO THIS, before a buyer SUES you.. OR sellers leave the market place.
